Morning Session

  • Keynote – The Ride Forward in the Powersport Industry - Mark Sheffield

    Mark is a well-known industry dealer expert appearing regularly in trade publications. He’s also a director on the new US Powersport Dealer Council. Using Canadian data, he will venture into “Where are we going? How is Canada, and BC,  different?” His comments will resonate with every dealer!

  • Where’s the Money in 2024 – Financial Overview – TD Finance

    A high level view from TD financial experts on what is likely in store for dealers and the industry in 2024. These presentations are consistently of high interest to everyone.

  • ICBC – An Important Riding Partner

    An overview of the many areas MPBC works with ICBC . An important discussion to help enhance the work done with specific ICBC departments in licensing, registration, claims, rider and testing and road safety.

  • Vehicle Sales Authority

    The VSA is a requisite partner of all dealers in BC. This presentation offers an update for the motorcycle powersport dealers – why the VSA is important and how the VSA works with other dealer regulatory bodies.

  • Rider Training – a cornerstone for everyone

    This presentation continues the launch of the MPBC Rider Training Company Division (RTCD). This important initiative addresses not only the increasing operational pressures for schools but helps gather expert consensus for the ongoing review of the province’s graduated licensing review for motorcycles.


Industry Lunch

Guest speaker is Landon French the President and CEO of the Motorcycle and Moped Industry Council/Canadian Off Highway Vehicle Council. He heads up some significant changes unfolding in the marketplace which haven’t been seen – ever. He will also touch on key industry projects such as the national economic impact study underway for both on road and off road, plus changes as part of the EV landscape.

  • Motorcycle and Powersport Careers – a Bright Future

    Highlights on the active role MPBC plays on behalf of dealer and industry, with BCIT – School of Transportation, (and the Powersports Advisory Committee) SkilledTradesBC, and the SkillsCanadaBC trades competition. High points include updates on the provincial Certified Trades Program and the MPBC Student scholarship.

  • Off Road Update

    Updates to help dealers better understand the current initiatives with Rec and Trails Sites, and key Associations such as ATVBC, BCSF, and BCORMA

  • Hiring Foreign Workers

    This is always a popular topic for business. Navigating Immigration Canada can be done successfully, and it need not interfere with supporting local talent. A great session for the merits of using immigration professionals.
